We believe aquaponic is the future of sustainable farming

We’ve created a naturally organic ecosystem, where fish digest food and create nutrient-rich water to feed healthy microbes that converts the waste into nutrients for plants to assimilate and in return provide clean water for the fish.
It’s where fish and plants co-exist in a mutually dependent ecosystem, just as they would in their natural habitat. It works by each living organism efficiently sharing and utilising the nutrient resources that the other needs to grow healthy, so that when eaten,  you can taste the real difference.
It’s this special ‘bio-symbiotic’ relationship that is the inspiration for our name, Bioaqua farm.
We’ve spent the best part of a decade evolving our aquaponics system and methods, which comes highly recommended by industry expert Dr Wilson Lennard, who described our farm as “the best farm system in the UK by a mile” and “a success story” thanks to diversification and an innovative approach.
We are reaching a tipping point with planetary resources and we have a responsibility to create a safe and clean planet for the next generation.  One of the key elements for future survival is to be able to produce more with less resources.

The result: naturally bursting with flavour and aroma
